Description
Bobby Wood recorded at SUN Sam Phillips Recording Studios this 10 inch demo Acetate single sided disc " Who am I " ( later recorded by Elvis Presley ) Written by Charles Goodman and most probably produced by Stan Kesler. This disc is the Aluminium and lacquer first copy.... before the decision is made to manufacture I have Googled this title and can not find it issued on any label, so I suppose this is the only copy. I also have another recording by Bobby Wood on a SUN acetate " the day after forever" which did see a release on Stan Kesler's Pen Records in 1962 ( Not included in this sale ). There was a contractual dispute between SUN and Bobby Wood, which led to SUN 369 being pulled from sale.... I guess that's the same story for " Who am I " Bobby Wood later played piano on Elvis' recording of " Who am I " in 1969 .

Bobby Wood first recorded at SUN Union Avenue, in the 50s with his family, just personal recordings. The next time he recorded under his name at SUN was at the Madison Avenue studio in 1961. The yellow SUN 369 record shown here is not part of the sale. .... but if this acetate exceeds the reserve price, I could include a signed picture of Bobby and all the guys who recorded with Elvis during the American Sound recording sessions in 1969 ( some of the guys were members of Bill Black's Combo ).
Postage will be determined on customer requirements. I strongly advise some kind of tracking/insurance , as this is a one of a kind item.
