Description
Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, Eugene Onegin, Mstislav Rostropovich, USSR, 3 x LP, Мелодия, 33CM 02039
Vintage 3 x LP classical set entitled " Tchaikovsky / Solists, Chorus And Orchestra Of The Bolshoi Theatre Conducted By Mstislav Rostropovich – Eugene Onegin". Record set is a Soviet-era Russian import, pressed and distributed on the at the time state-owned Мелодия (Melodiya) label. Set is a Russian domestic release with no English, only Russian labels and text.
Date of exact issue is unknown, however the recordings were made in Paris, France on January 19th-24th 1970, by I.M.E. Pathé-Marconi for Melodia-USSR.
Box is graded as G. It shows heavy shelf wear and creasing, with soiling on the front and back covers. Minor repairs have been made. It is overall intact and can be opened and closed without issue. Original one sided sheet with cast list and notes in Cyrillic is included. It shows some minor tanning and creasing from age, but is in overall excellent condition.
Records have been graded as VG+ to VG+/NM. Condition and play is listed below:
- Record 1 - Side 1 - Plays clear with no background noise, handful of minor pops in the middle of play
- Record 1 - Side 2 - Plays clear with no background noise, with 2-3 minor pops at the beginning
- Record 2 - Side 3 - Plays clear with no background noise.
- Record 2 - Side 4 - Plays clear with no background noise.
- Record 3 - Side 5 - Plays clear with minor background noise in the middle of play, which quickly dissipate.
- Record 3 - Side 6 - Plays clear with no background noise.
My grading scale is G/G+/VG/VG+/NM/M
