Cross Road is the first greatest hits album by American rock band Bon Jovi, released on October 11, 1994 by Mercury Records. The album contains hits from between Bon Jovi (1984) and Keep the Faith (1992) and two new tracks: the hit singles "Always" and "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night", as well as a new, updated rendition of "Livin' on a Prayer" entitled "Prayer '94" available only on the North American versions. "Runaway" was never recorded with the current band, though at that time there were plans to put a "Runaway '94" on the album but it was never recorded. The diner located on the cover of the album is the Roadside Diner in Wall Township, NJ, near the crossroads of Route 33 and Route 34.

"Always", the album's first single, became Bon Jovi's highest selling single in the United States, spending six months on the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 and was also an international hit which helped the album peaking at number one in 13 countries. Cross Roadwas the best-selling album of 1994 in the UK. The album is Bon Jovi's best selling record in many countries, and continues to sell well. The album has sold over 21.5 million copies worldwide, and has been cited as one of the best-selling albums of all time.[3]

In 2005, Cross Road was re-issued as a 3-disc box set under the name "Deluxe Sound & Vision", which included the original remastered album, a bonus CD containing b-sides, rarities and fan favourites, and the Live from London DVD. The original remastered album was released in 1998. A video, also entitled Cross Road, was simultaneously released, containing 16 of the band's music videos.

In the United Kingdom, Cross Road debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and spent a total of five non-consecutive weeks atop the chart,[7] later becoming the best-selling album of 1994. The album certified six times platinum by the BPI.[8] The album topped the charts in several other European countries, including Austria,[9] Denmark,[10] Germany,[11] Italy,[12] Portugal[13] and Switzerland.[14] In 2007, it was also certified octuple platinum by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry for selling 8 million copies across Europe.[15]

The album became Bon Jovi's first number-one set in Japan, where it has sold more than 1.1 million copies.[16] It spent two weeks at number one in Australia[17] and in 2010 it was certified eleven-times platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association for shipments exceeding 770,000 copies.[18] The album also debuted at number three on the New Zealand Albums Chart, peaking at number one in its second week[19] and later being certified sectuple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand.[20]

The album itself won Metal Edge magazine's 1994 Readers' Choice Awards for "Album of the Year" and "Best Hits or Compilation Album". Its namesake home video was voted "Best Video Cassette," and the single "Always" was voted "Song of the Year" and "Best Video Clip".[21]

Sealed: When the item is still wrapped and unopened since the time it was originally manufactured.

Mint: When the item is brand new and untouched. The flaws may be insignificant to most people, but a truly MINT item is absolutely perfect.  We NEVER grade an item "MINT", if we are not 100% sure that it is unplayed!

Near Mint (NM): An item that has VERY LITTLE (if any) use. The item looks NEARLY new. The vinyl may have light paper scuffing (light surface discoloration visible under the light caused by either contact with the paper inner sleeve or sometimes a minor pressing flaw; SCUFFS DON'T AFFECT ITS PLAY). Covers may have a minor flaw such as a small wear spot or mark, but look definately NM. Ususally these small imperfections won't bother anyone, but the most  discerning colle

Excellent (EX): Items that have been played, but carefuly. The vinyl may have paper scuffs or some light hairlines that cannot be felt by lightly finger brushing. The vinyl still plays fine, usually with no noise. Covers may have light ringwear or edge wear. They may have minor writing or creasing. Still, flaws should not stop the collector from enjoying the item.

Very Good Plus (VG+): Items show wear. The records may have light scratches. They should play through with NO skips or repeats, but MAY have some ticking or backround noise. Covers may have ringwear, or light staining, or writing,etc., but will still be intact. VG+ records are good keeper copies for collectors to fill a gap, or good copies for less discerning record buyers.

Very Good (VG): The only items we list in this condition are RARE titles that someone may want to own, regardless their condition. However, VG records are NOT trash copies and play ok, with some background noise. Covers may have heavy ringwear, or seam-splits, damages ,etc. 

Good (G): We never list in this condition unless few exceptions, like mega rare records that achieve sky-high prices when they are in EX+ condition or better. These copies are just filler copies in a record collection!
