Bon Jovi SLIPPERY WHEN WET, Vintage Vinyl, Mercury PROMO (1986) First Pressing

$

50

Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.

Grading is based on visual inspection.

I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.

New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played.  I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.

• This is a Promotional Copy is a First Pressing of the original 1986 release.
• It has never been played.
• The gold foil Promo stamp is on the front cover and 'Promotional Not For Sale' is printed on the label.
• The single piece board cover has tight seams and shows no wear.
• The semi-gloss inner sleeve has lyrics, credits and a band photo.
• This album spent eight weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart[ and was named by Billboard as the top-selling album of 1987. Slippery When Wet is Bon Jovi's best-selling album to date, with an RIAA certification of 12× Platinum, making it one of the top 100 best-selling albums in the United States.
• However, there only a few hundred Promos pressed and this is one of even fewer that has never been played. In other words, this is an extremely rare collectable.
• This is a one-owner that the Seller got new from Mercury Records in 1986. It has been in storage for 34 years.
