Bongo Logic, ''Cha-Cha-Charanga'' released in 80s is the first and rarest recording by this L.A. based Latin Jazz and Afro-Cuban group . The charanga style of Cuban music emphasizes flute and violins; it's light, and like all Cuban music, rhythmically precise. Bongo Logic, a West Coast group, mixes the jazz tradition - its flutist, Art Webb, is a fine soloist, as is Harry Scorzo, the group's violinist. The result is a flowing, all-instrumental album that fuses a rocking, articulate rhythm section playing Cuban music with burning, harmonically sophisticated solos.
This LP may never be released on CD format because of contractual and producer agreements.
