Description

Secret Dreams and Forbidden Fire is the sixth studio album by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler released in 1986 on Columbia Records catalog OC 40312. Executive produced by the legendary Jim Steinman this album continues the epic Wagnerian rock style established on her previous hit records. It features the massive hit Holding Out for a Hero which originally appeared on the Footloose soundtrack as well as notable collaborations with Todd Rundgren on Loving Yous a Dirty Job But Somebodys Gotta Do It and songwriting from Desmond Child and Bryan Adams. The album is a prime example of mid eighties pop rock production characterized by heavy synthesizers powerful vocals and dramatic arrangements. This specific copy is a desirable Promo edition in Excellent condition and includes the original promo mark on the sleeve as noted. It remains a highly collectible piece for fans of eighties power ballads and Steinmans signature production style.
