Description
A foundational hip hop record and one of the real cornerstones of the genre. This is Boogie Down Productions’ Criminal Minded on B-Boy Records, catalog BB 4787 JBM, the 1987 full length that put KRS-One and Scott La Rock into the permanent conversation with early rap’s most important voices.
The track list is loaded with essentials including South Bronx, 9mm Goes Bang, Elementary, The Bridge Is Over, Super-Hoe, and the title cut Criminal Minded. For collectors, this is the kind of LP that matters beyond nostalgia. It is a true canon title from the first wave of hard New York rap records that changed the sound and the stance of the music.
This copy shows a solid playing surface with a nice overall look. Vinyl grades VG+. Jacket is more in the G range with visible edge wear, corner wear, creasing, surface wear, and old price sticker residue on the front. It is still fully presentable and absolutely works as a strong player copy of a major title.
A must for old school hip hop collectors, Bronx rap buyers, B-Boy Records collectors, and anyone building an essential 80s rap shelf.
NOTE: Please consider that your audio equipment blows mine away and the record will invariably sound better on your system. Also, I do not have the ability to professionally clean records and give one static brush before ONE sampling, then back into the sleeve and jacket.
