Up for bid is a factory-sealed copy of Tex Book Tenor by Booker Ervin, from the Blue Note Tone Poet Audiophile Vinyl Reissue Series (UPC: 602445852246). This 180-gram LP is mastered all-analog from the original master tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio, produced by Joe Harley, and pressed at RTI. Recorded in 1968 at Rudy Van Gelder’s studio but originally released in 2005, it features Booker Ervin on tenor saxophone, Woody Shaw on trumpet, Kenny Barron on piano, Jan Arnet on bass, and Billy Higgins on drums, with tracks including Gichi, Den Tex, In a Capricornian Way, Lynn’s Tune, and 204.
