Booker Ervin           The In Between      Blue Note 84283  stereo  "Division Of Liberty label "VAN GELDER"

 

Booker Ervin (ts), Richard Williams (t), Bobby Few (p), Cevera Jeffries Jr.(b), Lenny McBrowne (d)  Recorded 1968

Liberty label with "VAN GELDER" in the runout on both sides.  No "NY USA" or "Ear" pressiongs of this title. "1776 Broadway, New York/6920 Sunsel Blvd., Los Angeles" addresses on back cover.  

 

The record looks and plays VG++/M-.  Some light scuffs on Side 1 Track 1 which do not affect play. Some light surface noise on Side 1 Track 2 during quiet passages which is probably due to pressing. No scratches. Side 2 looks clean.  

  The cover is VG+.  

   The front cover has moderate wear and ring wear. There's tiny staple holes at top near the spine.   The back cover has light wear and ring wear with some fading and staining. No split seams. Corners have spots of denting and heavy wear.   

 I WILL BE RUNNING MONTHLY AUCTIONS OF 50s and 60s JAZZ LPS INC BLUE NOTE, PRESTIGE, NEW JAZZ  RIVERSIDE etc. MANY WEEKS AND MANY NICE ITEMS TO COME.

 My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
