Description
These two 10" LP's are in immaculate condition for their age and originally were sold for 32s6d and 35s in 1954 or thereabouts, (that's what it says on the label). They feature Oscar Peterson's Trio including the great Ray Brown and appear to have been recorded live off air from the concert, perhaps from a radio broadcast. Frankly I have little information apart from the "Bootleg" catalogue that came with the LPs and so far have seen nothing on Wiki that co-relates. I'm sure that these Jam sessions are well documented somewhere.......
They play as good as they look, with some slight surface scratches. The sound quality is what you'd expect from a live recording of the period.
They were introduced by Norman Granz.
They come with a typewritten catalogue from the period.
The jam session, "Jam session Blues" includes Flip Phillips, Lester Young, Oscar Peterson, Buddy Rich, Barney Kessel, Ray Brown, Roy Eldridge, Charlie Shavers and Benny Carter.
