This album is a musical portrait of Borica. She has the capability in song to write and translate English to Hungarian and in turn Hungarian to English.
Borica's first role to fame and popularity came from her performance in musicals throughout the country. Direct your attention to the first song on side one, "The Tears in My Heart", written right after World War II by Borica, reflecting her every thought and dream during the transition of leaving her homeland and the finding of new happiness in her new found country and home.
It was this new found love that encouraged her to finish the song started long ago.
The entire band, composed and directed by Mike Drost, plays in a light, easy swinging manner, allowing the melody to swoop from high to low, just made for the lovers of fine dance music. The sound is truly unmistakable. There is something extra special, something refreshing and vital in this record. It makes you listen just a little more closely. You can't put your finger on it, but you can hear it. It's definitely Mike Drost's distinctive new touch in sound.
