Vintage Boxer – Below The Belt vinyl LP, released in 1975 on Virgin Records, catalog V 2049. This is a UK gatefold pressing with the classic Virgin dragon label and KENDUN-A stamped in the runout.


This debut album from Boxer features Mike Patto and Ollie Halsall, both known from the cult UK rock band Patto, along with Keith Ellis on bass and Tony Newman on drums. The album blends classic rock, blues rock, hard rock, progressive rock, and pub rock with strong guitar work and 1970s UK rock energy.


This copy includes the original gatefold sleeve with the well-known controversial Below The Belt cover artwork. The album cover became one of the more talked-about rock LP covers of the 1970s, which adds extra collector appeal for fans of vintage Virgin Records releases and unusual/controversial album art.
