Brahms - Cello sonatas No.1 & No.2 - Fournier/Backhaus
Condition
Here is a detailed description of the record's condition, what is here is what you'll get, since the record has been play-tested on a high-end equipment.
Record:
Side 1: there's a mark crossing this face that causes tics in the following passages - First movement: one fourth of the track gives tics, mostly soft - Second movement: the last quarter gives soft to moderate tics - Third movement: soft to moderate tics at the first 2/3 of the track - Fourth movement: looks VG and plays Ex+ (flawless)
Side 2: looks EX+ and plays almost EX+, very soft tics at begining of second movement
Sleeve: (VG+) Some ringwear and a stain at the front. Some creases at the back (see pictures).
Legendary performance by Pierre Fournier (cello) and Wilhelm Backhaus (piano) of Brahms' sonatas No.1 and No.2 in this 50's mono Decca made in England. Very sought after record, not mint but still enjoyable!
