Description
For sale is a vinyl record titled Brahms: Concerto No. 2 in B-Flat, Op. 83, featuring Van Cliburn on piano and Fritz Reiner conducting The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, originally released in 1962 by RCA Victor Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched "I", followed by the matrix numbers 7-S/12-S, indicating that earlier stampers were used to make this record that was pressed at RCA's pressing plant located in Indianapolis, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this record used and put it into a record storage box where it was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity. The original inner sleeve is graded as Excellent because of some creases. The cover is graded as VG because of a 4 inch seam split along the top right hand corner of the jacket, edge rubs, ring wear, small writing on the upper left hand corner and corner blunts. The spine has a little color loss at the corners from these blunts. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint with shiny, prisine looking surfaces. This would be an excellent addition to anyone's collection. I have more Classical records, as well as albums of all different genres, listed in my Ebay store. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
