Brahms Piano Concerto 2 Katchen UK Decca SXL 2236
Julius Katchen with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Janos Ferencsik performs the Piano Concerto No. 2 of Brahms. An English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 2236 stampers 2E/1E), the labels are black and silver with "Original Recording by…" at 10 o’clock, Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound logo, and fatband, and a groove. The record is of excellent appearance, and plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise. The cover has rubbed with a ring and creases. The back foldovers have a cut-out.
