Description
The record itself looks superbly glossy with just a few wispy lines visible under strong light. The label is pristine with no spindle wear. (The original owner was undoubtedly an avid audiophile- I have acquired a number of his records, most of which are stereo 1st editions, mainly hmv, columbia and decca, which have obviously been carefully stored and maintained, and only ever played on high quality equipment; several(though not this one)have `factory sample`stickers.)
The sound quality is high throughout, with no scratches or other aural problems, aside from a low level of light surface noise which, to my ears at least, is not nearly enough to mar the listening experience. The Goldmine VG+ grade is an accurate,conservative guide here.
The cover is similarly gradeable, with only some wearing on the lower opening edge corner and a couple of small nicks on the spine (highlighted in photos)to keep it from an Excellent grade. Both front and back covers are virtually flawless, with no `rings` or creases on the front lamination.
