Description
Brian Eno
Classic 1978 Vinyl LP
The First Of His Ambient Series
Music For Airports
Very good condition of a rare, out of print, original vinyl copy of
Ambient 1: Music For Airports the first of Brian Eno’s albums in his
groundbreaking ambient series entitled Music For Airports, released
in 1978. The music was designed to be continuously looped as a
sound installation, with the intent of diffusing the tense, anxious
atmosphere of an airport terminal. To achieve this, Eno sought to create
music “as ignorable as it is interesting.” Rather than brightening the
atmosphere as typical background music does, Music for Airports is
“intended to induce calm and a space to think”. And it sure does exactly
that, this will become one of your most listened too albums.
With 4 tracks and every one a winner;
Side One
1. “1/1” (Acoustic and electric piano; synthesizer.)
2. “2/1” (Vocals; synthesizer.)
Side Two
3. “1/2” (Vocals; acoustic piano.)
4. “2/2” (Synthesizer)
Truly a real gem of a find. The catalog number is PVC 7908.
Experience the music the way it was meant to be heard in all
the warm tones of its analog quality stereophonic vinyl sound
and not the inferior audio of MP3s.
