Description
For sale is a vinyl record by Brian Eno titled "Music For Films", originally released in 1978 by EG Records, then reissued in 1982 by E.G. Records. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. I always put my new records directly into a protective inner sleeve(s), thus preserving the integrity of the insert(s) and the original inner sleeve(s). There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is machine stamped "Sterling", indicating that this record was mastered at Sterling Sound, located in New York City, New York. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint, with bright and shiny surfaces, in a like-new condition, without any surface scratches or spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading it as Near Mint Minus because of some occasional ultra low level surface noise, most noticeable during the quiet sections of playback like between tracks, but not interfering with the music at all. It plays all the way through without skips or lock-ups from start to finish. The cover is graded as Near Mint with one slight dent on the back along the spine. The spine is Near Mint. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life yet. This is the best copy of this record that I have ever seen or heard. I think that you would be hard pressed to find this album in this condition. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
