Description
Here's a beautiful stock copy of Hale & the Hushabyes doing "Yes Sir, That's My Baby" b/w "Jack's Theme" (Reprise 0299). It was released only weeks earlier, with a different instrumental B-side, as Apogee 104, then three years later on the York label as "Date with Soul"--again with a different instrumental B-side. Hale and the Hushabyes is actually a pseudonym given to the combined efforts of Phil Spector protegee Jack Nitzsche (who produced and arranged), Sonny & Cher, Jackie De Shannon, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys (who offers his unmistakable falsetto on Side A), and Sandy Wynns (who provides lead vocals, though it is also argued that Edna Wright, sister of Darlene Wright, aka Darlene Love, of the Blossoms, is lead vocalist). Label reads "A York Records Production. Subsidiary of Greene/Stone Enterprises." The record is in NEAR MINT condition. See photo below.
