Brilliant Bundle Of 5 Cat Stevens Albums and 2 Singles on Island, Decca & Deram Records

All in VG or Ex Condition apart from one that has a scratch - see below.

01. The World of Cat Stevens released on Decca Records in 1970 in Stereo with original inner sleeve with clear plastic protective lining. Sleeve in VG Condition, no writing, rips or marks just a small amount of ring wear on back. Inner sleeve in Ex Condition, no splits or rips. Vinyl in Ex Condition, no marks or scratches and no spindle wear or marks on label.

02. View From The Top released on Deram Records on 1972 as a Double Album with Decca Tracks from 1966 to 1969 in gloss gatefold sleeve. Sleeve in VG Condition, no splits, writing or rips a small crease on the gloss on the back (as often happens with age) no ring wear. Both original inner sleeves in Ex Condition both have clear plastic protective lining and no splits rips or marks. Vinyl in Ex Condition both records are spotless not a mark on any of the 4 sides and no spindle wear or marks on labels.

03. Tea For The Tillerman released as album in 1970 on Island Records. This is the one that’s in slightly worse condition it’s not dreadful but just not quite as hood as the others. Released in a gatefold sleeve, gloss on outside, matt on inside. Sleeve in Good Condition it would be VG but there is a small rip on the inside on the opening where the record goes it’s less than 1 inch probably someone trying to put the record away too fast. The rest of the sleeve is great no ring wear and just a few very small creases along the spine on the gloss (it always happens with gloss covers when they get over a certain age, this is 51 years old this year so a couple of small creases is really good). Inner sleeve in Ex Condition, it’s just a plain white inner sleeve no marks or splits. Vinyl in Good Condition it would be Ex but there is just one scratch on it, you can’t feel it with your finger it’s not deep and I’ve just played 30 seconds or so and it doesn’t really stand out I couldn’t hear it above the music, apart from that there are no other marks on the record.

04. Mona Bone Jakon released in 1970 on Island Records, with plain white inner sleeve. Sleeve in VG Condition slight bit of ring wear across one corner and that’s it no rips, marks or split seams. Inner sleeve in Ex Condition again just a plain white inner sleeve no splits, rips or marks. Vinyl in VG Condition, if you hold it up to the light and look really hard you can see some very light marks, no scratches it’s 51 years old and looks really Good overall.

05. Catch A Bull At Four released on Island Records in 1972 in Gatefold sleeve with gloss finish inside and outside. With original Island Inner Sleeve in light blue with pink i Sleeve in VG Condition few marks on the white part of the back cover and bit of ring wear nothing else apart from a few cracks in the gloss as I’ve said gloss covers always have cracks after time. Light Blue Inner Sleeve in VG Condition it has some writing in the corner from what looks like a previous sale, apart from that it’s good condition no splits or rips and has plastic protective lining. Vinyl in Ex Condition there are no marks or scratches really nice.

07. A Bad Night released in 1967 on Deram Records in Company Sleeve. Sleeve in Good Condition, creases but it is 54 years old there are no splits or rips Someone has written the number (DM 140) in one corner and in the other corner in pencil it says £6.00 (I’m trying to remember I think it cost me more than that!) vinyl in VG Condition a few light marks but plays well.

I’ve just realised Cat’s latest album is called The Laughing Apple, I’m not sure if he’s re recorded this for it or if it’s a different song.

08. (I Never Wanted) To Be A Star released in 1977 on Island Records in a picture sleeve in Germany (I think I’ve just read the writing around the edge of the label and it looks like German, I’m probably wrong!) Sleeve in VG Condition just a bit of ring wear no rips or splits, Vinyl in Ex Condition no marks at all. Sleeve has lyrics on back reading them was obviously written when Cat was getting fed up with the whole music scene and was ready to turn his back on it. Really nice item.
