Brubeck Southern Scene Lp Uk 1st Stereo on Cbs [Ex/Ex] 1960**

Description

An original 1st issue in Stereo on Uk Cbs label. For this title very 1st press is on Fontana...but Brubeck and pals literally jumped ship to Cbs as the title was released. So the 1st Cbs copies are right behind the Fontana ones and whilst still charting. Pressed by Philips and in Stereo a well preserved copy like this is a real treat to behold. Dedwax...."V420"...Matrix 2/2. Note the copyright control on both sides is identical to the Fontana...so its definitely early and from 1960.  The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover.
Vinyl (Ex) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slightest marks per side, a superficial trail - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an Excellent level of playback.  The audio is straight off those pristine masters and is in remarkable condition. A bit o a one-off. Clean as they come which is perfect for this genre...Slight blemish on teh surface end of one side - is inaudible. the audio really is quit frankly superb.
Cover (Ex) In great condition and has been cared for down the years. Lovely shiny front with colours fully retained. The rear is in smart condition without ageing. Edge wear is very minor and the openings still sharp. The spine is pretty much fully intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
