Description
Original 1975 Columbia Records gatefold LP pressing of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run” (JC 33795). This copy carries the “For Military Sale Only” gold-embossed stamp over the barcode on the back cover — a scarcer distribution variant pressed for sale through military exchanges rather than standard retail, sought after by Springsteen collectors.
Includes the full gatefold jacket with printed lyrics and black-and-white photo insert on the interior spread, plus the original inner sleeve.
Tracklist:
Side 1: Thunder Road / Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out / Night / Backstreets
Side 2: Born to Run / She’s the One / Meeting Across the River / Jungleland
Condition:
• Cover: Name written in pen on front upper-left corner (“Doris”); visible edge wear, soiling/staining on the front panel, and corner wear consistent with age. Gatefold hinge intact.
• Vinyl: Light scuffs and hairline scratches visible on both sides under raking light; no deep gouges observed. Should play with some surface noise expected of a 50-year-old disc — not tested on a turntable.
• Inner sleeve: Original, plain paper, some creasing.
Please review all photos closely as they’re part of the description. Sold as-is; a great pickup for a collector chasing the military variant.
All proceeds benefit the Cattery in Corpus Christi, TX.
