Description
This is an auction for an incredibly rare consigned collectible - the Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run - WHITE PROMO ADVANCE LABELS WITH SCRIPT COVER album - Columbia Records PC-33795 stereo. Sent to select DJs in advance of popular release in 1975, the script cover has no writing inside the gatefold cover and it has the title on the front in script rather than blocked text.
The record is factory fresh Mint- to VG+++ with just a few very faint hairlines that are hard to find - the vinyl is very close to perfect, as are the labels that have NO hand writing and each side matrix ends in "1A" - PLAY GRADES MINT- (I never use any higher grade). The SCRIPT COVER IS BEAUTIFUL. Inside the gatefold is Mint-. Only flaws being slight corner tip wear at 3 corner tips, a tiny pair of dots above Bruce's head on front and a very slight rub on bottom edge = so overall cover grading is a solid VG++.
This LP does not include any xeroxed lyrics or insert and has no original mailing envelope.
One of the "holy grail" rock collectible LPs and the rarest Springsteen item.
Reserve price is very reasonable for this super rarity but required to protect the consigner.
Shipping of this rarity will REQUIRE express or priority mail with insurance. The record will ship outside the cover in a plastic sleeve, sandwiched in cardboard filler pads, inside a box - inside another larger box. Signature will be required for delivery.
