Title – Bruckner Symphony No. 9 in D Minor (Original version) - Issued in 1962

Label – His Master's Voice -  Stereo ASD 493 – Made in Great Britain

Cover - Solid VG+ with clean spine. Flip back cover with light wear from age and light crease. There is a slight lifting of the foil on the bottom near the right edge of the front cover ... minor. Small corner crease also on the front bottom. Original inner sleeve is included which is often missing which does have some creases and a small 1.5 inch tear on one side at the top.

Vinyl - Solid VG+ with a ¼ inch scratch on side 2 that can be felt and heard (see note). LP has been cleaned on my VPI record cleaning machine and put into an MFSL anti-static inner sleeve.

Labels – Both side 1 & 2 labels are clean and in excellent condition (see pic)

Side 1

1st movement : Feierlich, Misterioso

Side 2

Track 1 - 2nd movement : Scherzo (Bewegt,lebhaft) & Trio (Schnell)

Track 2 - 3rd Movement : Adagio (Langsam, feirlich)

NOTE – A Rare LP pressed in Great Britain. I will try and grade the LP accurately below.

Side 1 – Clean vinyl with nice luster and clean label. The vinyl plays with light surface noise (more like a light crackle common to these early pressings) but does not distract from the music in my opinion. More noticeable in the quiet passages. Sound quality of the pressing is very high.

Side 2 – There is a ¼ inch scratch in the second track which can be felt and heard. There is a light “click” that can be heard for approx. 1 minute at which 8 seconds of that passage a loud “click” will be heard. My Graham Phantom II tonearm and Ortofon cartridge track through this scratch with no problem and my tracking force is set at 2.3g … for your information. As with side 1, the remaining vinyl on side 2 plays with light surface noise.

The recording on this LP is the original version without the 4th movement.
