Description
This is another sale from my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.
UK pressing on Brunswick records of AXTL 1082 Brahms Sonatas for Violin and Piano played Szymon Goldberg and Artur Balsam. The matrix numbers engraved on the run-out are MG-3289-2B andMG-3290-1B.
Grading
The condition of sleeve is VG, wear to the corners and laminate has lifted in places. I have tried my best to show all these things on the photos. Visually grade the record as VG. There are faint marks and light scratches on both sides (would say side 2 is better).
It plays well on my Linn Sondek, no skips, jumps – On side 1, band 1 has crackle so would grade it VG. Band 2 and 3 are better so grade as VG+. On side 2, band 1 and 2 has crackle so would grade it VG. Band 2 is better so grade as VG+. So overall, I would audio grade as VG.
Note that record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Sleeve will be in a plastic sleeve, separate from the record and inner sleeve. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve.
