Gaither - and the greatest of these is Love" This rare commodity is much in evidence in the Cutler household where Leroy and Eleanor direct traffic for a family of six spirit filled youngsters — "The Winglers". Three of the group are the Reverend and Mrs. Cutlers children by birth. Cynthia Elaine 18, Joseph 16, and Gary 13. The other three came to the Cutlers through a tragic circumstance. In November 1971, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Wingfield, Jr., the parents of Deborah 18, Lee 15, and Cynthia Jenise 13 were on their way to St. Louis to attend a revival when they lost their lives in the crash of the Wingfield airplane. The Wingfields were close friends of the Cutlers and were members of Rev. Cutlers' congregation at the 1st Free Will Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas. It seemed only natural to Leroy and Eleanor that the Wingfield children come to live with them and share their love. Even more naturally, the Wingfield and Cutler children began to share a mutual joy in gospel music and were soon singing together almost constantly. The name "The Winglers" was also a natural using Wing from Wingfield and ler from Cutler. So now we have named the group. I know you will enjoy the sermons in song and praise to the Lord in this album. The U£>rd has truly smiled on this family and His Love comes smiling through in the voices of His children — The Winglers.
