Bubble Puppy – A Gathering Of Promises Original 1969 vinyl International Artists – IA-LP 10 Label: International Artists – IA-LP 10 Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Stereo, Yellow Label Country: Canada Released: 1969 Genre: Rock Style: Psychedelic Rock, Hard Rock
In the year of its release - and until the UK reissue in 1988; this, Bubble Puppy's first album only came out in two countries: the USA and Canada making original copies that much harder to find.
Condition: the vinyl is visually VG with a minimal amount of scuffing. Side 1 plays well with about 12 clicks overall - all of them very soft. Nothing significant. There are also a handful of so examples momentary soft surface noise lasting for a few seconds. Side two only has about 5 very soft clicks and one that's a little louder but not too much in track 2. Side 2 track 3, a softer tune, has about 30 seconds of soft underlying surface noise at the beginning then in the rest of the track soft surface noise comes and goes. Nothing super significant.
The cover has some issues which can be pretty easily seen in the photos. Laminate damage (the overlying color laminate is rubbed to appearing white) in 3 or 4 main areas on the front - mostly in the lower 20% and a bit at the top and in 2 main areas on the back . Then there is a couple of square inches worth of laminate that is entirely removed in the lower right. There is also a certain amount of the cover not lying flat - a bit "wavy" due to long dried exposure to moisture or condensation that is concentrated in the lower half on the font and back. There are no split seams and no cut out hole. We are grading the cover Fair. The record label on side 1 has a small piece of masking tape with the name of a previous owner written on it.
