A few select Rare, Collectible Vintage 1960s-1970s PSYCH and related CLASSIC ROCK VINYL LPs up now as Buy It Now listings -- as a prelude to a massive, soon upcoming AUCTION series of Prime vintage Psych and related 60's/70's Rock that will take me until early June to have ready to drop. I will list as many as are ready at that time; may be as few as 60, possibly over 100 in that first Auction series... will include many rare, obscure and highly sought PSYCH LPs along with several more prime LPs each from more well known artists (Hendrix, Doors, Zappa, Beefheart, Beatles, Stones, Grateful Dead, Blue Cheer, Bloomfield, Byrds, Dylan, Zombies, Small Faces etc. etc.) You won't want to miss those!
...including several PROMOS, STERLING Masters, Monarch Pressings and IMPORTS. .
Needing to list these few BINS here first, to ensure I will have enough top packaging on-hand up-front, for best, quickest ship-out when those auctions end.
from 50+ years collection estate of decades-long Radio DJ, Record Store associate and dedicated Vinyl Collector
So be sure to check back to my mm_rockpile listings to be able to get in on the auctions!Diligent collectors will be rewarded! ...SO many cool goodies finally being let go of, as I trim down this huge, merged collection to my few single-copy-each faves. (I'm 72 now ... no reason for me to still hold on to any more than 1 copy of each LP. )

Lacquer Cut at Sterling Sound
Pressed by Monarch Record Mfg. Co.
MATRIX NUMBERS SIDE ONE: PD-5058-A-2 - 1c – REPL (MR) △18111(2) STERLING
SIDE TWO: PD-5058-B-2 - 1c – REPL (MR) △18111-X(2) STERLING *Encircled "MR" stamped in runouts denotes Monarch Record Mfg. Co. pressing.
Remainder of runouts etched, except "STERLING”, which is also stamped. ...This is the correct, actual 1973 1st MONARCH Press. Verified w/ DISCOGS
Heads-up for Newbies: the "REPL" and the (2) represent plating and lacquer cutting corrections before the LP was pressed ...that's what test-pressings are for...to find and correct any flaws that may be found. LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM was a renowned Sound Production and Audio Quality perfectionist. You will hear it in this pressing that was only allowed on the presses once all was top-flight.
*NOTE! The Later pressing (1977) has DIFFERENT, later, Polydor address: 810 Seventh Avenue, New York on the LABELS and on the (completely different) Polydor inner sleeve. Even some Gatefold releases are these later press. Sellers who don't know any better are claiming these later issues as 1st Press - and buyers who don't know any better are falling for it.
...a Little bit of research easily and clearly bears this out.
The SIMPLEST, QUICKEST way to identify a repress (1977) of this Polydor PD 5058 LP is that later "810 seventh street" Polydor address on the labels.
This album kept in a protective, poly outer-sleeve

From an utterly vast and deep record collection, from my life-long best friend (Now merged with my own collection) who was a DJ at the Radio Station I co-founded in the 1970's - and who worked for me at my California record store in the '70s and '80s. . Sadly he has now left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine.
We had very similar tastes - so numerous prime duplicates are being listed.
Many PROMOS, IMPORTS and 1st PRESSINGS are included.
.
Several thousand records (mostly LP's, but also hundreds of 45's), several hundred collectible and Rare, Out of Print CDs and Box Sets, plus posters and other memorabilia will all eventually be listed.
Truly a great (and enormous) collection! _______________________________________________________________________ .
