Description

Released In 1981 this LP may have been the 2nd US pressing of Buddy Guy's live masterpiece! When Buddy Guy made "Stone Crazy ! ", It was his finest album to date! Guy's live performances have always been absolutely crazy! The closest you'll ever get to Jimi Hendrix, but without all the effects. This record captures Buddy Guy in his prime live !

The first time I saw Buddy Guy live was in Minneapolis when he was playing with Junior Wells. I remember he had a very long guitar chord and actually walked outside and down the street ! Sonically, Guy had a great sound and he was just a wild guitarist and out of this world performer! When I Buddy play guitar in Minneapolis, there were only 12 people there. Thus, Buddy & Junior Wells were happy to see me with my unbridled enthusiasm for his work backstage and we partied down! I told Buddy that he should be huge and certainly was impressed that I knew blues history and what an amazing guitarist he really was ! What was so impressive is that he actually remembered me a few years later in Indianapolis and was so grateful that I bought every record I could find of his. I have heard the new 180 gram reissue of this LP and I prefer this record sonically as to my ears it just sounds clearer and not as muddied. This NOS LP is factory sealed and was purchased from a trusted long time Chicago retailer.

This LP will be shipped media mail with tracking information provided to buyers with positive feedback. Please message me any questions you may have.
