Very scarce, highly collectible first pressing of Buddy Holly's 1957 debut LP on the flat black Decca label, silver print. Includes the original version of That'll Be the Day. Extremely hard to find on this label.
Record has numerous light surface scuffs and hairline scratches, nothing serious. It plays fine, better than it looks, with occasional minor surface noise; no skips or pops, nothing obtrusive. Labels are in excellent condition with just a faint touch of spindle wear. Cover has a very small surface tear under the logo in the top right corner, a small chip on the bottom edge of the front cover slick, a number written on front, a small triangle drawn in the left border, and a name written on back. Spine and seams are intact with slight wear, no splits; all text on the spine is intact and well visible.
