Rare wonderful collectible. The "Chirping Crickets" EP on Brunswick. This was their first release on this label. Great sound quality, no seam splits to the jacket, no writing, vivid front cover colors and no stains. Grade for coverr rates a strong VG. The vinyl rates a solid VG+. There are no skips or ticks and background noise is minimal. The vinyl flaws are minor - the background noise is mostly noticeable between songs and not distracting when the music is playing. The labels would be NM except for the small red dot on one label and number sticker on one side. I'm not sure if the blemish is a factory defect but I would not attempt to remove it. Label grade is still VG+. An interesting note: the writing credit for Not Fade Away is Norman Petty and Charles Hardin. Charles Hardin Holley was Buddy's real name. In fact it was not Holly, but Holley When he signed his contract with Brunswick they misspelled it and just left it that way from then on. The trail off area of Side 1 has a stamp of "1-2" and the designation "S3870 1" in a raised stamp. On Side 2 the only stamp is "S3871 2". No international shipping.
