Description

This scarce promotional edition of “Buddy Holly and The Crickets” preserves a cornerstone set of rock-and-roll performances, including “Oh, Boy!,” “Not Fade Away,” “Maybe Baby,” and “That’ll Be the Day.” The copy is the 1962 U.S. Coral mono pressing, catalog CRL 57405, with the unusual blue promotional labels and photographed runouts MG 6036 T6 / MG 6037 T5 establishing the exact variant. The record, sleeve, and inlay are graded Very Good (VG): the vinyl has visible surface markings and plays with moderate noise, while the cover has slight discoloration and an approximately three-inch split along the top seam. Despite those honest condition issues, this is a genuinely uncommon, well-documented promo pressing with substantial appeal for advanced Buddy Holly and early rock collectors.
