Description
Buddy Holly pink label promotional copy of “Girl On My Mind”/“Ting-A-Ling” recorded in 1956 and pressed as a single in 1958 after Buddy has achieved national success.
Vinyl: Probably the nicest copy I’ve ever seen with plenty of shine. Aside from a couple of light surface marks this one is excellent and would easily grade as VG+ (very good plus). It has been cleaned in an ultrasonic record cleaner.
Both labels are bright and without tears, tags or stickers. There is a slight discoloration stain on both labels that look like they came from old stickers.
The sleeve is the original company sleeve. The side seams are intact and there are no rips. Both sides of sleeve have a small “64” written in blue ballpoint pen.
Dead wax: stamped (see photos)
This copy comes from the collection of a longtime disc jockey and Holly fan and collector in Massachusetts who died in 2024.
