Description

Buddy Holly LP That'll Be The Day DL8707 Rare 1958

Album cover is sturdy with very good color while showing little shelf-wear with no marks or writing. However, the top seam is split and the spine has some splitting and cracking. Someone (with good intentions) used clear tape on the spine. It appears the original adhesive price sticker was placed on the middle of front cover and then pressed on the back cover thus preventing album browsers from removing the vinyl. Removing the sticker caused a small ding on front cover but original 1958 selling price is visible on back cover. Cover conservatively graded VG

Vinyl is very solid and still has nice gloss and shine. There are some scratches and scuff marks but vinyl plays strong with little background noise and no skips. Labels are the original Decca black and silver labels with no writing, stickers or obvious wear except for some spindle marks. Vinyl comes with original Decca inner sleeve. Vinyl conservatively graded VG

This is a very decent piece of rock history and will make a great display or nice addition to the Buddy Holly collection.
