Description

This auction is for the first and original pressing of the now very rare LP "Something Special From Buddy Holly" released in 1986 by Gloucestershire's own Rollercoaster Records label, catalogue number ROLL 2013. It is NOT a later bootleg copy but is GUARANTEED to be the original. I should know as I bought it myself when new! Apparently only 2000 copies were ever pressed so it is also a very limited edition although sadly each copy is not individually numbered.

This LP has been played only once and taped and is therefore in MINT condition without any damage to sleeve.

This was the first release of the undubbed 'Garage tapes' featuring Buddy Holly, J.I. Allison and Joe B. Maudlin as recorded using Bobby Peebles tape machine in 1956. As long time fans will know these recordings were only previously available with additonal dubbing added by The Fireballs and produced by Norman Petty in the years immediately following the singer's death.

These are the raw energetic garage recordings as they were meant to be heard (although never commercially released).

Tracks: Gone (2 versions)/Have you Ever Been Lonely (3 versions)/Brown-Eyed Handsome Man/Good Rockin' Tonight/Rip It Up/Blue Monday/Honky Tonk/Blue Suede Shoes/Shake, Rattle And Roll/Bo Diddley/Ain't Got No Home/Holly Hop

LP's will be sent out in secure mailers or can be collected.
