Description
Up for bid is a pink label, promotional copy of Buddy Holly's "That'll Be The Day." This was released in the United States on the Decca Records label and is DL 8707. As stated, this copy has the pink label stating that it is a "SAMPLE COPY."
The jacket for this set is in solid VG+ condition. Front and back remain very clean. There is some wear on the seams and spine of the jacket that indicates the minimal amount of storage wear outside of a protective bag. There is the beginning of a split on the top seam at the mouth of the jacket that extends only about a quarter of an inch from the mouth. Seams are otherwise nicely intact and very solid. Printing of title and catalog information on the top seam and spine remain in crystal clear print. All in all, the jacket is in beautiful shape.
The vinyl is also in very strong VG+ condition. There are only very slight, superficial marks from being taken in and out of an unlined paper sleeve that have no effect on the sound. The pink labels on both sides remain spotless and there is little to no spindle wear on the center hole. This set is truly one of the nicest that I have seen up for bid.
Bid with confidence. Packaging for shipment is very important to me. All records are shipped in sturdy, cardboard record mailers. Jacket and vinyl will be protected by a polymer bag, with the vinyl in a poly-lined paper sleeve outside of the jacket to prevent any damage from shifting during shipment.
