Description
This is an early Brunswick pressing of Buddy Holly's debut album, and the only album attributed to The Crickets, The Chirping Crickets. Brunswick BL 54038. This is not a "textured" album cover, but it does have the misprint on the back of Buddy's hometown misspelled as Bullock, rather than Lubbock. Please see photos for the condition of the cover. As you can see, it has some signs of age, but is nice and firm, with no big creases. The vinyl itself is fairly thick and heavy, and appears to made of shellac. I would say that the record is Good, but that is just my opinion, and may seem different to someone else. There are many little scratches, but nothing very long or deep. It plays fairly nicely throughout both sides. There is surface noise, but not many obnoxious pops. It does skip once towards the end of Oh Boy!, and another time during Last Night. They are both short skips, not the kind that will repeat the the same groove over and over until you move the needle. Any questions, please ask.
