Up for auction today is a VG+ copy of Buddy Holly and the Three Tunes Ting-A-Ling and Girl On My Mind on Decca 45.
Label: Decca Catalog Number: 30650
This appears to be a rare Buddy Holly single so I decided to listen to it to help grade it. The A side Ting-A-Ling, plays great, there is hardy any surface noise at all. I counted 2 crackles during playback. It really sounded good and clear. The B side sounds good as well but not as good as the mint playing A side.
The record itself has some small scuffs and only a few of them. There are some smudges that should not be to hard to clean off. Really great condition, There is the taped on number on the A side label. B side label is in great condition.
To keep things exciting we will be starting the bid at a nice low $8.00. Way below what these appear to trade hands for, good luck!
This is from a inherited private collection of 45s that seems very well cared for.
