Original UK MCA label stereo press LP.

The second studio album by Budgie issued in September 1972 and recorded at Rockfield Studios, Monmouth in June. Singer/bass guitarist Burke Shelley has said that the band's name came from the fact that he, "loved the idea of playing noisy, heavy rock, but calling ourselves after something diametrically opposed to that". The difficult second album, alongside heavy rock tracks like Rockin' Man, there are quieter tracks like Make Me Happy, making a diverse mix of songs, showing off the bands skills, such as Burke Shelley playing Mellotron. The band should have been huge and were amazing live, but as with many other great Welsh bands it never quite happened......

This is the original issue with the black & blue hexagon MCA labels and the 1L 1L matrices and 1-U 1-C stampers of the first pressings.
  The matt sleeve is intact & in VG+ condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some storage rubbing on the front cover, with storage rubbing on the rear cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the blue & white company inner is intact & in EX condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with only a couple of faint & wispy hairlines and one or two small needle marks/scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & undamaged, with evidence of a few spindle markings on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud clicks, pops or skips, sticks or jumps, but there is somebrief background noise during the run in grooves. Overall, a really nice, loud and clear listen.
  The matrix nos. are; 7-LNMG-261-1L mother stamper 1-U, 7-LNMG-262-1L mother stamper 1-C. This is one of the earliest copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1972 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
