Buffalo~Original OZ LP Volcanic Rock EX 1973 Vertigo Swirl Prog heavy Psyche

Buffalo

Volcanic rock

Rare Original OZ Second LP released in 1973 on the Vertigo Swirl Label. Cat: 6357101. This album has a gatefold sleeve.

One of the great lost classic Australian LP’s from the 1970’s and one of the band’s greatest records and essentially the first stoner rock album ever issued in Australia. This is the album that established the band’s reputation for dispensing uncompromising heavy psych rock. It was this LP that established the classic line-up of: vocalist Dave Tice (who later joined UK R&B band The Count Bishops), guitarist John Baxter, bass player Pete Wells (who later switched to slide guitar in another legendary Aussie band: Rose Tattoo), and drummer Jimmy Economou.

Tracks: Sunrise (come my way)/ Freedom/ Till my death/ The prophet/ (i) intro: Pound of flesh (ii) Shylock.

There is no sign of spindle marks on labels. Have carefully cleaned and played the album through on both sides. Visually there are a few light scuff marks. There are only a couple of light crackles throughout only really noticeable between tracks. Record is in Excellent condition. Cover has two light crease mrks on spine. Cover has no signs of surface tears or seam splits or ring wear. The inside back right hand edge of cover has a few tiny surface tears. Cover is in Excellent condition.
