Description

Rare and original 1973 Australian pressing on the great Vertigo Swirl label.

PLEASE SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR MORE RARE AND COLLECTABLE RECORDS OF ALL GENRES. I WILL BE SLOWLY SELLING MY COLLECTION OVER THE COMING MONTHS.

VINYL: VG lots of light sleeve removal lines only, nothing deep or significant and record retains reasonable shine. Plays nicely with only minimal background noise heard on several needle drops across both sides including the intros to track one on each side. This is a very playable copy and the background noise that is heard in some places does not detract from the music in any way. I did hear a some light pops during a needledrop of side 2 track 2 but for the most part it played through well. Record would benefit from an ultrasonic clean which it hasn't had.

COVER: VG gatefold cover has light ring, edge, and corner wear but is in solid condition with no seam splits or tears and presents well as seen in photos and I'd grade as a strong VG or closer to VG+. A name is written in biro on the inner gatefold.

LABELS: VG+ as seen in photos. The original insert is included and although it is in good condition, please note that it has a 5cm tear at the top on the original fold line.

Please refer to photos which form part of the description and show the tracks. If you can't tell from the photos, I try to be conservative with my grading as I'd prefer you to be happy rather than disappointed. If you have any questions or concerns about this record please ask any questions prior to purchase and I would be happy to assist. As I will be listing a high number of records with limited time I provide a visual grade unless otherwise noted where I've been able to listen to a record or needle drop sections of a record to provide an audible grade.

RECORD GRADING

The grades below can have a + or a - to upgrade or downgrade if needed.

  • Mint (M) or Near Mint (NM):
Records graded Mint will be sealed. Near Mint records will be in opened but as new condition, they will appear to have been played a couple of times at most. The sleeve will also be in as new condition with little to no concerns. These are the highest grades.

    Excellent (EX):
  • The record may show very slight signs of play, such as faint hairlines or inner sleeve removal lines, but these will be minimal and should not affect playback. There may be very light static at the intros and breaks and a few soft static /clicks throughout, but there will still be excellent sound quality. The sleeve might have some minor wear. This grade is slightly less than Near Mint.
    Very Good Plus (VG+):
  • The record shows some signs of use, such as light scratches or surface noise but will retain great shine. It may have some crackle/static in places but there should be no deterioration in sound quality. The sleeve may have some minor wear such as light ring, edge or corner wear but there will be no big or major seam splits or tears. This grade is often considered "good" and suitable for most listeners.
    Very Good (VG):
  • The record has more noticeable signs of wear, such as more scratches, surface noise, and potentially some ticks however the audible quality will generally be satisfactory to many and any background noise should not overpower the music. The sleeve will still present well but may show more wear than VG+ including one or more of the following: ring wear, some crease/bend marks, edge and corner wear, small stains, writing, small splits or tears and foxing, laminate lift etc.
Good (G) or Good Plus (G+):
  • The record may have significant wear, including deeper scratches and surface noise. The record will likely have been played so much that the audio quality has noticeably deteriorated with more crackles and pops throughout. Playback may be affected and the record may skip on 1 track and/or the vinyl may have a warp, but the music is generally still playable. The sleeve may have significant wear to a more noticeable degree than what is described in the VG grade above.
