You are bidding on a vintage original LP record. A Holy Grail of Reggae Collectors! Presented for your approval is an original pressing of Burning Spears' record STUDIO ONE PRESENTS BURNING SPEAR on the Coxsone label. This is a vintage, original LP, not a reissue! In the scarce and very fragile original silk screened sleeve. On the back cover, the LP cover has split for about 6 inches at the point where the covers are joined. This is probably a common flaw given the flimsy nature of the materials used. A small portion of the silkscreen has gone missing at the upper left corner of the rear cover. The split can certainly be repaired, though if I were the buyer of this LP, I would keep the LP outside of the sleeve so as not to further damage it. Just IMHO!
The LP itself is in excellent condition graded by eye. It shows some mild wear, but overall is bright and clean and shiny. I listened to the entire LP on a nice stereo system and it played through without any skips. There was a light 'tick' at one point for a couple of revolutions. There is light 'crackle' throughout, as probably is to be expected with these hometown productions, but nothing that interfered with listening to the LP. There is a smallish scuff to one side of the label which removed a small amount of surface paper.
I am a Book Dealer by trade, but I've sold many tens of thousands of records over my career and do Record Shows 2 or 3 times a year. My grading may not align exactly with yours, but it will likely be reasonably close!

The LP will be packed in a double set of 12" LP mailers with 12" bubble wrap. The LP will be removed from the sleeve.
