Description
Busty Brown with Llans Thelwell & The Celestials ‘Lonely Night’ / Llans Thelwell & His Celestials – ‘Choo-Choo Ska’ – Soul (JA)
Two fantastic tunes, the best tracks from Llans Thelwell & The Celestials’ ultra-rare Llans Plays It All album, SOUL 005. The A-side is an absolutely gorgeous ska ballad (listen to those horns!), the flipside, penned by trumpet player JoeBennett – almost as good, in my opinion – a ska scorcher. Please note that both sides of this record have the ‘Lonely Night’ label. Matrix numbers 005 45A (‘Lonely Night’) and 005 45B (‘Choo Choo Ska’).Condition: VG+ or thereabouts; there are some marks and small scratches that cause a couple of clicks here and there, particularly at the start of ‘Choo Choo Ska’, but there’s lots of life in this copy yet (please listen to the clips). Clean labels (please see scans).
Please reply within three days after auction close. Payment via Paypal expected within five days. Will not be held responsible for uninsured parcels.
Shipping 1-2 singles: US $8.00 within Europe, US $10.00 to the rest of the world. Shipping 2-5 singles (or one album, or one 12-inch record): $11.50 within Europe, and $13.00 to the rest of the world. Shipping 2-3 albums (or 2-3 12-inch records): $24.00 within Europe, and $28.50 to the rest of the world. Registered and insured shipping (with a tracking number) is an additional US $11.00 per parcel to cover a total value not exceeding $80.00, and US $16.00 for a total value of up to $1,550.00 (which is the maximum). Please contact me for further combined shipping rates. Yes, shipping from Sweden is expensive, but it’s usually swift and safe.
American bidders please note that shipping is not US $4.00; this is eBay’s American default setting and not applicable as I am based in Sweden. Please use the postage rates above, or wait for my invoice. Thanks!
Please note that like many other sellers of reggae on eBay, I’ve been the victim of so called ‘fake bidders’, bad minded people with no intention of purchasing the item they bid on and whose only game seems to be to ruin the auction for buyers and sellers alike. If your feedback is zero, please get in touch with me before bidding, or unfortunately I will have to cancel your bid.
In the event that the record is won by a ‘fake bidder’, to save some time, I will sell it to the second highest bidder before attempting to relist it. Obviously, the second highest bid will have been raised, as it were, artificially by the ‘fake bidder’. To the extent that it’s possible, when making a Second Chance offer, I will try to lower the selling price to one increment above the third highest bid by way of offering a discount or free shipping (or both). Please bear in mind that the Second Chance offer is an automated one (by eBay) and the amount can not be changed by me. Hopefully this auction will be free from any such problems!
Happy to answer any questions! Please see my other auctions with many rare items this week!
Thanks for looking and good luck!
