Description
Here is an excellent copy of Actuel Volume 00, part 1, released in 2001 on Get Back Records. This is a triple Lp compilation described as a collection of avant garde/free jazz/psychedelia from the BYG/ Actuel catalogue of 1969-1971. This is part 1, part 2 is in a seperate listing, I can combine shipping if you get both parts. Side A: Sunny Murray "Red Cross", Archie Shepp "Blase'", Steve Lacy "Note". Side B: Daevid Allen "Memories", Sonny Sharrock "Soon", Jacques Coursil "Black Suite, part 2 (excerpt). Side C: Grachan Moncur III "Exploration", Clifford Thornton "Pan-African Festival". Side D: Dave Burrell "Echo". Side E: Sun Ra and His Solar-Myth Arkestra "The Utter Nots", Arthur Jones "Brother B". Side F: Burton Greene Ensemble "From 'Out of Bartok'", Art Ensemble of Chicago "Get in Line", Andrew Cyrille "Pioneering", Paul Bley "Ramblin'".
This is a very well put together package, the triple gatefold has great liner notes about each piece of music, the vinyl is 180 gram and flawless, no scuffs or scratches. Very little signs of wear on the jacket, bottom left corner has a slight crease, edges are like new, no ring wear. I can't find this available on Get Back's website, possibly out of print.
