Description

The Byrds 'The Notorious Byrd Brothers'.

Original UK rough orange CBS stereo 1st press LP.
The 1967-68 recordings of the last of the original Byrds line-up with Gene Clark making a brief re-appearance on backing vocals and a great mix of Psychadelic, Rock, Folk and Country influenced songs, with the 'GB' cover credit, very early A-1/B-1 matrices and matching A-7 stampers!

The Ernest J. Day front laminated sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some laminate rubbing & creasing on the front cover and some light storage wear on the unlaminated rear. The spine is intact and fully readable, the CBS company inner is intact & in EX condition.

The record is in visually EX condition, with a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines and needle scuffs visible under bright light on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a few faint spindle markings on each side!   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some low background noise during the run in grooves and in a couple of the quieter passages, overall, just a really great, loud & punchy listen!!   The matrix nos. are; SPBG-63169, A-1 stamper A-7, B-1 stamper A-7. This is one of the early copies of the first pressing of the original UK stereo issue of this classic 1968 album!
