With the matt Sleeve in EX Condition, the CBS inner in VG+ condition & the Record in EX+ Condition. With great tracks from the Byrd's including; 'Artificial Energy & Tribal gathering'. Description
Original UK CBS rough orange label stereo press LP.The fifth album by the Byrds was issued in January 1968 and recorded during June to December 1967. The sessions for the follow up to Younger Than Yesterday, were long and led to the departure of David Crosby & Michael Clarke in turn and even saw the brief return of Gene Clark. By the time of its release it featured Roger McGuinn & Chris Hillman, as the only original members of the band. It also marked a shift to a more psychadelic style with one of the first uses of a Moog synthesiser, alongside the newer country & folk rock influences of later albums.
This is the original issue with the later matt sleeve, A-1/B-1 matrices and A-19 A-19 stampers.
The matt sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with only very light corner wear and some light storage rubbing on the rear cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the CBS inner is intact, discoloured & in VG+ condition.
The record is in visually EX+ condition, with a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two light needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with no evidence of spindle markings on either side.
The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves, overall, just a really great, loud & clear listen.
The matrix nos. are; SPBG-63169, A-1 stamper A-19, B-1 stamper A-19. This is one of later copies of the first pressing of the original UK stereo issue of this classic 1968 album!
All records are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any flaws noted in the listing, so if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems! All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.

All Airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to 2kg weight restrictions.
