Description

This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of the sole LP by Seattle psych group the Calliope, released in 1968.  The group is notable for including Danny O'Keefe, later to gain modest fame and fortune for his single "Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues."  O'Keefe already had a solo LP under his belt when he joined the Calliope.  A couple of other members had previously played in local groups.  The record consists of mostly covers like Elvis's "Hound Dog," Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone," the Mamas and the Papas' "California Dreaming," and a cool version of Chuck Berry's "Nadine."  O'Keefe contributed two tracks, including the extended experimental album closer, "Atlas."  The jacket has just a few flaws: a cutout hole, mostly light corner and seam wear, and two checkmarks in pen on the back cover (see photo) -- EX(+).  The disc is clean with a little light scraping and scuffing, and plays with minimal surface noise (M-).

I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.

If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
