Description
The great violinist Campoli in a Virtuoso Program which includes music by Spain-Saëns, Sarasate, and Wieniawski, conducted by Anatole Fistoulari and Pierino Gamba. This 1957 London ffrr hi-fi record was pressed, as always, in England, and sounds absolutely gorgeous. There are surface marks and scuffs, but on the whole the record plays perfectly without a tiny bit of noise at all. On the first track, however, there is a stronger mark, which produces a slight tick for a time. Still quite listenable and not bad, but it is there. The rest of the record plays gorgeously. These deep groove records can take a lot of surface scuffing without any degradation of the music, especially after a nice professional cleaning, which this record had. This copy plays about E+, with only the occasional tiny bit of noise. The cover is also excellent, with only minor shelfwear and one minor corner ding at the lower right. A really nice copy.
