CAN
" SOON OVER BABALUMA "
Released in 1974 on UNITED ARTISTS RECORDS,
Catalogue number UAG 29673 (Stereo)
The LABELS are in EXCELLENT condition, with a few light spindle trails.
The MATRIX numbers are; Side One, UAG 29673 A-2U, Side Two, UAG 29673 B-2U which I assume is an indication of the second pressing. Earlier pressings are renowned for superior audio quality.
VINYL
The pristine VINYL is in EXCELLENT+ condition with a beautiful sheen and some very light paper sleeve scuffs that have no affect on the sound.
I have just play checked this LP and the sound is FULL and CRYSTAL CLEAR. Side One play grades EXCELLENT PLUS on my system; Garrard 401 turntable with SME 3009 arm, Shure V-15 type III Cartridge going thru a Leak Varislope Pre-amp and Leak Stereo 50 Valve Amp then out of a pair of B & W DM 640 Speakers. Side Two also play grades EXCELLENT PLUS, no clicks, pops or skips, SUPERB, this REALLY is in great condition !!!
SLEEVE
The unusual SILVER FOIL FINISH SLEEVE is also in EXCELLENT condition. It has a mottled effect as part of the design, looks like it's meant to appear like a grain, or features on a map ! There is some ring wear to front and back due to the foil finish (see photo). There is very little shelfwear to the edges. There is a mark on the front of the sleeve top right where, presumably, a pricing sticker has been removed.
