CANCER from Telford in England should be well known to all old school Death Metallers. Their debut full lenght ''To The Gory End'' from 1990 was definitely an tough and great recording. Actually, they could have ridden well with it in the Fairway of DEATH, PESTILENCE or AUTOPSY, but they was always stopped, maybe because they had an own sound, not the typical Florida and also not the Scandinavian style. But perhaps some maniacs will now, 30years later, discover that CANCER wrongly didn´t make the big breakthrough, because there is without question no loss of quality here. The 9 tracks by the British take you into the depths of those glorious days of the expiring Thrash Metal & the outbreaking wave of Death Metal at the beginning of the 90s. Everything was produced brutally and tightly and actually sounds very typical for this time. The rock-hard mix of Death and Thrash Metal, as also SEPULTURA and INCUBUS played it back then, can definitely convince. On top of that, this classic comes with 2 unreleased bonus tracks from the 2nd demo in 1989 but were never used before. This 2021 re-edition in heavy 180g silver vinyl is limited to numbered 500 copies & comes with slightly revised cover art, lyric sheet with liner notes from the band!
